Prof. Dr. Michael H. Dahan Appointed Editor-in-Chief of Clinical and Experimental Obstetrics & Gynecology

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Michael H. Dahan is appointed as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Clinical and Experimental Obstetrics & Gynecology.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field of women’s health, Dr. Dahan is an associate for the OriginElle Fertility Clinic and Women’s Health Centre, as well as a professor for the division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at McGill University. He joined the staff at OriginElle in 2010 and has remained passionate about his work at the center since then. In addition to his primary roles, he has been active with Stanford University as a clinical instructor in the division of general obstetrics with the department of obstetrics and gynecology, a supervisor with the medical school summer research internship program, a research scholar in women’s reproductive health, and a teaching assistant with the Human Health and Disease 223 Gynecology Laboratory.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dahan’s research has moved reproductive health forward, and he was the first physician to describe vasospasm causing pituitary hypofunction and resultant permanent damage, known today as Dahan’s Syndrome. In addition, he facilitated the first successful pregnancy and live birth obtained with serial vitrification of embryos collected through in-vitro maturation of oocytes and array-cgh and pgd. Dr. Dahan also set a world record egg collection, collecting 125 eggs from a single patient undergoing in-vitro maturation of human oocytes without any gonadotropin stimulation. By utilizing this method, there was no risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.

We are confident that the strong academic background and connections of the new Editor-in-Chief will raise the prestige and quality of Clinical and Experimental Obstetrics & Gynecology.
